WHO
Mason was mostly known as "Bird" to some he was "Birdman". We lost Mason "Bird" tragically on April 29, 2023. Mason was a 2022 graduate from MVCTC & Eaton High School. He then went on to work at Parker Hannifin as a machinist. Mason "Bird" was a huge truck enthusiast and anything that had a motor! He loved to work on his truck, take videos and TikToks with his friends and their trucks. Trucks are what brought him and a lot of people together.
WHAT
The Bird scholarship was established with the help of his graduating class along with many friends, family, and the community to help keep his memory with all of us and future generations to come. With the great turnout and support from everyone that made the 1st Annual Bird Meet a success, we are giving out 6 scholarships this year. The scholarship is for graduates from any Preble County School (5) and the MVCTC Precision Machining Program (1) The scholarship is for anyone furthering their education at a trade school or to help them get started in their career in any of the trades.
Any interested students will need to fill out an application and return to their guidance counselor. Applications can be obtained from their school guidance counselor.
WHYThe Bird Meet is a fundraiser for a scholarship for our son and brother Mason Roell. We have been extremely blessed with the support of all of our friends, family and the community that we call home. Our goal with The Bird Meet is to make it an annual event to fund the scholarship for years to come while also carrying on his memory and bringing people together.
